How do S5 trackers work?

Just like their S7 counterparts, S5 systems offer round-the-clock GPS tracking and monitoring, as well as data transfer to a communication centre that can help liaise with authorities in cases of theft.

On top of that, S5 trackers include an ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) function, which involves gaining access to a discreet driver identification tag or fob. You (or the authorised driver) will need to carry this fob each time you use the car. If your tag is not detected, the system will automatically interpret this as unauthorised use and will send an alert.

The ADR tag works as a secondary layer of authentication on top of your usual keys, making it harder for thieves to fully bypass all security measures.

Some S5 trackers also offer VHF (Very High Frequency) location tracking for challenging environments (metal containers, underground parking lots). 

What is the difference between S5 and S7 trackers?

On top of that, S5 trackers include the ADR feature for added protection against unauthorised car use. The extra protection does come with a higher price tag – as both systems offer premium-grade protection, the choice fully depends on your current needs and budget.
