What are S7 trackers?

S7 trackers are a type of stolen vehicle tracking (SVT), especially useful for high-value vehicles or those at increased risk of theft. With GPS tracking and constant communication with a data centre, an S7 tracker can help you recover your vehicle swiftly in case of theft.

How do S7 trackers work?

S7 trackers constantly monitor and pinpoint your vehicle’s location via GPS, as well as use GSM to send the data to a monitoring centre. 

If the tracking system detects unauthorised movement (if the vehicle is moved without the ignition being used, or if the battery is disconnected), an alert is sent to the monitoring centre, which will then contact you to confirm the theft. The monitoring centre can also help liaise directly with the police to track and recover your vehicle, speeding up the process and maximising the chance of recovery. 

Your tracker will be working 24/7, 365 days a year – there will be no moment when your car isn’t protected. 

What do S7 trackers detect?

S7 trackers are equipped with sensors to detect:   

  • Tow-away alerts – if the vehicle is moved without the ignition on (e.g., being towed or loaded onto a flatbed).   
  • Battery disconnect/low battery alerts – notifying the owner and monitoring centre if the vehicle’s battery is tampered with or runs low.   
  • Tamper alerts – attempted interference with the tracking device itself.

What is the difference between S5 and S7 trackers?

On top of that, S5 trackers include an Automatic Driver Recognition (ADR) feature for added protection against unauthorised car use. The extra protection does come with a higher price tag – as both systems offer premium-grade protection, the choice fully depends on your current needs and budget.
